It is justice. Reflection for marriages. John 16:5-11

From the Gospel according to John 16:5-11

Jesus said to his disciples: “Now I am going to the one who sent me, and not one of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ But because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts. But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes he will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation: sin, because they do not believe in me; righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see me; condemnation, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.”

The Gospel of the Lord

It is justice.

You understand, Lord, that it saddens us to see You go to the Father, but it is fair that You do so, for You already spent 33 years of humility and service to mankind to bring us truth and salvation. It would not be fair to ask for more.
Thank You, Lord, for everything. It fills me with joy to see You in Heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father as King of all creation. A heartfelt thank You.

Applied to Married Life:

Lola: How I long to see You, Jesus, but You left us for an even greater good: to send us the Holy Spirit, who guides us into the deep truth of the heart.

Luis: He enlightens our wounds, our disorder; He purifies us with His light and leads us to God.

Lola: Without the Spirit, we are at the mercy of the world, trapped in empty pleasures that pull us away from the divine and ultimately destroy us.

Luis: Thank You, Lord, for the immense gift of the Holy Spirit.

Mother,

Just thinking about how valuable it would be to have Jesus among us helps us begin to understand the magnitude of the gift of the Holy Spirit. Praised be the Lord who has sent Him to us.
